Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from recognized board.
- Matriculation certificate is accepted as proof of age.
- Non-CBSE/State Board certificates must be accompanied with government notification of equivalence.
Sports Qualification:
- Must have participated or won medals in International/National competitions between 15-01-2024 to 15-01-2026.
- Individual & Team Events at International/National level recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 12 for all categories (UR/SC/ST/OBC).
- Preference given to medal winners in Senior, Junior, or Youth categories.
Age Limit (as on 18-08-2025):
- Minimum: 18 years | Maximum: 23 years
- Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC (NCL): 3 years, Departmental candidates: 5 years + applicable category relaxation
Salary & Benefits
- Basic Pay: Level-3 (₹21,700–69,100/- per month)
- Allowances: As per central government rules

Selection Process
- Scrutiny of Applications: Marks assigned based on sports achievements.

- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest (male), weight verification.
- Merit List Preparation: Based on sports achievement marks.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Conducted as per MHA guidelines.
- Review Medical Examination (RME): Appeal against DME possible within 24 hours.
- Final Selection: Based on merit, PST, and medical fitness.
Physical Standards:
- Male: Height 170 cm, Chest 80 cm (unexpanded), weight proportionate.
- Female: Height 157 cm, weight proportionate.
