Educational Qualifications
- Forester Grade-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT): H.S. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- Fireman & Emergency Rescuer: H.S. (Science) pass
- Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB): H.S. (10+2) pass
- AFPF Constable, Constable Grade-III, Bandman & Bugler: HSLC or equivalent, with Home Guard or NCC ‘A’ certificate for some posts
- Boatman: HSLC, swimming proficiency required, plus desirable sports or lifeguard experience
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
- 18–40 years: Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, Constable Grade-III, Bandman, Bugler
- 18–25 years: AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Boatman

Selection Process
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

PET Marks: 40 marks
Written Test: 50–100 marks depending on the post
NCC Weightage: 2–5 marks
Oral/Viva Voce: 5 marks
Trade/Swimming Test: 10 marks (if applicable)
Physical & Medical Standards
Height (Male/Female): 150–163 cm depending on post and category
Chest (Male only): Minimum 78–80 cm + 5 cm expansion
Medical Requirements: Good mental and physical health, normal vision, free from major ailments, not color blind
