Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
- Equivalent Diplomas recognized by GSSSB include:
- Diploma in Civil and Rural Engineering
- Diploma in Civil Draftsman
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (Building Services, Construction, Rural Engineering, etc.)
- Diploma in Construction Technology & Management
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management
- Diploma in Transportation or Survey Engineering
Important: Candidates with B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering are NOT eligible.
2. Computer Knowledge:
- Basic computer skills as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.
3. Language Knowledge:
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
4. Citizenship:
- Must be a citizen of India.
Salary
- Fixed salary: Rs. 26,000 per month for the first five years.
- After 5 years of satisfactory service: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) as per 7th Pay Commission.

- Part-A: Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension
- Part-B: Technical questions based on Diploma qualification
- Total Questions: 210 (Total Marks: 210)
- Time: 3 hours (180 minutes)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying: 40% in each part
- Merit list prepared based on marks, approx. 2x vacancies called for certificate verification
