About BARC OCES & DGFS 2026 Programmes

  • OCES-2026:
    One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates, leading to appointment as Scientific Officer (Group-A) in DAE units.
  • DGFS-2026:
    Two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates pursuing M.Tech at selected institutes, followed by appointment as Scientific Officer.

Salary / Stipend Details

During Training

  • ₹74,000 per month stipend
  • OCES trainees get ₹30,000 one-time book allowance
  • DGFS fellows receive:
    • Full M.Tech tuition fee reimbursement
    • ₹60,000 contingency grant per year
    • Project funding up to ₹4,00,000

After Appointment

  • Scientific Officer (Group-A)
  • Pay Level 10 (7th CPC)
  • Basic Pay: ₹56,100
  • Total Monthly Salary: ~₹1,35,000 (including allowances in Mumbai)
