About OCES-2026 & DGFS-2026

  • OCES-2026: One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates.
  • DGFS-2026: Two-year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates pursuing M.Tech in selected institutes.

After successful training, candidates are appointed as Group-A Scientific Officers in various DAE units such as BARC, IGCAR, NPCIL, RRCAT, VECC, AMD, UCIL, BHAVINI, and more.

Educational Qualification

Engineering Disciplines

  • B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) / 5-Year Integrated M.Tech
  • Disciplines include:
    Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemical, Instrumentation, Metallurgical Engineering
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks

Science Disciplines

  • M.Sc / Integrated M.Sc in:
    Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, Geology, Geophysics
  • Subject-specific requirements at B.Sc level
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks

Salary & Stipend

During Training

  • ₹74,000 per month stipend
  • ₹30,000 one-time book allowance (OCES)
  • DGFS benefits include:
    • Full M.Tech tuition fee reimbursement
    • ₹60,000 annual contingency grant
    • Up to ₹4 lakh project funding

After Appointment

  • Pay Level-10 (7th CPC)
  • Basic Pay: ₹56,100
  • Total Monthly Salary: ~₹1,35,000 (Mumbai posting)
  • Additional allowances: HRA, DA, TA, LTC, PRIS, Medical benefits
